Our Nursery

Our Nursery

Rose Villa Day Nursery is a fantastic building set in the heart of Whickham Village. We are very accessible from the local area and are very lucky to have access to local amenities such as the library and park for your child to visit. We are registered to care for up to 94 children between the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years and we are open from 8:00am until 18:00pm 5 days a week, our half days are between the times of 08:00-12:45 or 13:15-18:00. We also offer a pre arranged 07:30am early start if you wish to start that little bit earlier. We are open for 51 weeks per year with the exception of public bank holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year. All of our staff are fully qualified and experienced and provide warm, caring and safe enviroments for your child to thrive in.

Our nursery has four different rooms all with CCTV, the Baby Room, Duckling room, Cygnet room and the Pre-School room which have a range of equipment and toys that are stimulating and educational while also being age-appropriate, we also have a large outdoor area that contains a hard, grassed and soft surface so the children get plenty time outdoors as we believe it is a big part of their learning environment.

Each child in the nursery is given a key worker, this staff member is responsible for their planning and to ensure that each child is developing well, if you wish to have a chat with your key worker please do not hesitate to ask for an appointment to talk about their development.

We also accept many nursery voucher schemes/tax free childcare and also 2 & 3 year funding, if you have any questions or are unsure about if you qualify please contact us.

We would be happy to invite you to come and look around the nursery via appointment, feel free to give us a call or email us!

Healthy Living & Fitness

At Rose Villa we believe that a healthy lifestyle is key to a happy child, we provide daily exercises throughout the rooms such as music and movement to get your child to dance and move around! The activities are held indoors and outdoors and the children are always eager to join in with the fun as well as our motivated staff team!

We also have little kickers who attend our setting once per week for our pre-school room.  This gives the children many physical skills and  also lots of exercise and fun outdoors.

We have an on-site cook who provides freshly cooked meals daily, if your child has any allergies or dietary requirements please let us know so we can cater for your child, we offer:

FAQ

Does my child recieve any taster sessions?

We offer pre-visits for your child  to transition into nursery. We initially offer two previsits but are flexible in offering more if needed. We usually offer a 1 hour session where you stay with your child, chat to the staff and ask or answer any questions, and the next session you will usually leave them for around an hour and a half to see how your little one gets on.

What do I need to bring?

We ask that you bring nappies/wipes/cream in bulk if possible, they will be kept in a basket with your childs name on and a member of staff will inform you and/or write in their diary when we need a top up. We also ask that you bring in a labelled spare change of clothes incase of any accidents.

During the summer months we also ask that you bring in a labelled sun hat to stay at nursery with your child, we also provide sun cream for an extra charge (Nivea Factor 50) or you can bring your own in.

We ask that nursery fees are paid on the first of every month via standing order. When your child starts nursery you will recieve a statement of account explaining how fees are to be paid, we also accept all childcare vouchers and tax free childcare payments.
